Cookie Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits and remember certain information about your session. Similar technologies, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, serve comparable functions and are covered by this policy.
2. Who sets cookies on this site?
GTM Right Limited operates two domains covered by this policy: gtmright.com (the founder-facing platform) and funder.gtmright.com (the investor and portfolio partner portal). Cookies set on one domain are not automatically accessible on the other.
3. Cookies we use
We use only the cookies and storage mechanisms described below. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
| Name / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clerk authentication cookies | Strictly necessary | Supports founder sign-in, session continuity and account security. Clerk may use more than one cookie name depending on your sign-in state and browser. | Varies by Clerk session and sign-in state |
| gtm-stage1-browser | Strictly necessary | Preserves an anonymous Stage 1 browser context for rate limits, and lets this browser recover an unsaved Stage 1 result, only when you choose to, for 48 hours after the result is delivered. | 31 days |
| founder-ws-session | Strictly necessary | Authorises access to a claimed founder Workspace. | 30 days |
| gtm-paid-canvas-session | Strictly necessary | Authorises a paid guest Canvas session. | 30 days |
| __Host-gtmright-partner-session | Strictly necessary | A Secure, HTTP-only host-only cookie that authorises a funder or partner dashboard session. | 30 days |
| gtmright_cookie_notice | Functional localStorage | Records that you dismissed our informational cookie notice. | 365 days |
| gtmr_guest_ws_token | Functional localStorage | Holds the address of the latest anonymous Stage 1 Workspace in this browser. An unsaved Workspace can no longer be opened 48 hours after its result is delivered. | Until cleared or replaced |
| exit_intent_dismissed_<tool> | Functional sessionStorage | Prevents the same exit-intent prompt appearing more than once in one browser visit. | Browser session |
4. Strictly necessary cookies
The authentication, Workspace and paid-Canvas cookies in the table above are strictly necessary for the site to function. They are used to provide functions you request or to keep the service secure. You cannot block or clear these cookies without also losing access to the relevant authenticated feature, Workspace, Canvas or partner dashboard.
5. Analytics (cookieless)
GTM Right uses its own Umami Cloud property for cookieless, privacy-first analytics. It measures aggregate page views, referrer sources, general device information, and approved anonymous product events such as validation started, Canvas claimed, checkout opened, payment returned, Pack downloaded and shared Canvas viewed. We do not send names, email addresses, Workspace or Canvas identifiers, idea text, payment data, or other direct identifiers in analytics events. Umami does not set analytics cookies or cross-site identifiers, and IP addresses are processed transiently to derive an anonymous visitor identifier rather than retained.
6. No advertising or cross-site tracking
GTM Right does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media tracking scripts, or any third-party cookies that track you across other websites. We do not share browsing data with advertisers.
7. Managing your cookie preferences
You can manage browser storage in several ways:
- Browser settings: All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies can prevent you from signing in or accessing a protected Workspace, paid Canvas or partner dashboard. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
- localStorage and sessionStorage: You can clear browser storage in your browser's developer tools. This will reset the cookie notice and can remove a saved anonymous Stage 1 browser token.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or change our technology providers. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We will not introduce advertising or cross-site tracking cookies without updating this policy and, where required by law, seeking fresh consent.
9. Contact
If you have questions about how we use cookies, please contact us at support@gtmright.com.
